Tiptree is the name of the estate in Essex, England and has been the home of the Wilkin family for nearly three hundred years.
The very first Tiptree conserves were made in 1885 and Wilkin & Sons still specializes in fruit growing on their Tiptree estates.
Tiptree Jellies differ from Tiptree Preserves in that they are prepared with the juice of cooked, high-quality produce rather than with whole fruit.
Tiptree Red Currant Jelly has traditionally been one of the bestsellers for Tiptree because of its versatility; it often accompanies cold meats, is used as an ingredient in sauces, and is served with Devonshire or Clotted cream at teatime.
